Why I Am Taking French:

I've decided to take French because I have heard it growing up my whole life. My mom always spoke it to me, and I could never understand her. Now I will. Also, I simply hated Spanish. So now I don't have to. I really like the French culture and when i finally make my way to France I want to be able to speak it well. Its a really pretty language, much prettier then Spanish in my opinion. European culture is amazingly different from American, and being able to speak as if from another culture is
almost like taking time to become a little more "in" that culture. I hope that in the next 3 years before we go to France, I learn to speak fluently. My heritage comes from France, it is like getting to know my roots as i learn this language.
